Effective Date: July 2026
Group: Lawrence County Homeschool Hub
Welcome to the Lawrence County Homeschool Hub! We are excited to learn, explore, and build community with your family. Before participating in our group activities, field trips, park days, or workshops, we ask that all participating parents/guardians review and agree to our liability waiver and participation terms.
The Lawrence County Homeschool Hub is a volunteer-led, informal community cooperative support group. We are not a licensed childcare facility, school, or drop-off program.
On-Site Supervision: Parents or designated legal guardians are required to remain on-site and actively supervise their children at all times during all Hub events, meetups, field trips, and workshops, unless a specific, rare event is explicitly designated in writing as a structured drop-off session.
Child Conduct: Parents/guardians maintain full legal responsibility for the conduct, safety, and physical well-being of their children while participating in any group gathering or host facility visit.
Participation in homeschool group events—including but not limited to outdoor play, park meetups, sports activities, hands-on craft workshops, field trips, and physical games—carries inherent risks of minor injuries, slips, falls, or exposure to environmental conditions.
By registering and choosing to attend Lawrence County Homeschool Hub events, parents/guardians acknowledge these risks and voluntarily assume full responsibility for any physical injury, illness, or property damage sustained by themselves or their children while attending group functions.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, parents and legal guardians hereby release, waive, hold harmless, and promise not to sue the organizers, co-founders, guest instructors, volunteer collaborators, facility hosts (including private property owners, parks, or business venues), and other participating families of Lawrence County Homeschool Hub for any personal injury, personal loss, or property damage occurring during or in connection with any Hub-sponsored activity.
To keep our community safe, welcoming, and respected by the host locations that invite us:
Respect for Hosts: Families agree to follow all posted rules and guidelines of host locations (parks, libraries, farms, churches, or private facilities) and treat host property with care.
Kindness & Inclusivity: We hold a zero-tolerance policy for bullying, harassment, unsafe behavior, or intentional destruction of property.
Health & Illness: Out of consideration for all families, we ask that children or adults experiencing fever, contagious symptoms, or general illness stay home until fully recovered.
