Emily is a mom of three (ages 4 to 12) currently in her second year of homeschooling. Navigating different learning stages with her kids has given her a deep appreciation for flexible, child-led education and the immense value of a supportive community. She founded the Hub to help local families build meaningful friendships, share learning resources, and thrive together on their homeschool journeys.
Anna is a mom of two (ages 5 and 9) entering her second year of hybrid learning with Lawrence County Signature School. Balancing home-based education with structured school programs has given her a unique perspective on adaptable learning paths. She’s passionate about creating intentional spaces where homeschool families can gather, collaborate, and enrich their children's learning experiences.
"Education runs in our family’s DNA."
While our immediate homeschool journeys started recently, our connection to teaching and learning goes back a lifetime. We grew up immersed in the educational world:
Our mom has spent her entire career in education as an elementary and middle school teacher, and now serves as an elementary school librarian and assistant principal.
Our grandmother dedicated her career to special education, teaching us the importance of adaptive, patient, and individualized learning.
Beyond public education, we’ve learned invaluable lessons from our aunt, who has homeschooled her own children for over a decade, as well as close family friends who have led successful homeschool co-ops and programs for decades.
Combining our family's deep background in traditional school systems with years of trusted wisdom from long-time homeschool veterans, we designed the Lawrence County Homeschool Hub to be a place where experience, community, and encouragement meet.
We’re incredibly fortunate to have a strong network of educators, mentors, and community leaders who lend their time, knowledge, and heart to our group.
